Role: Design Engineer
Salary: £30k - £35k
Location: United Kingdom
We are seeking a design engineer (formwork) designer to design complex, accurate solutions for infrastructure projects. If you have a willingness to learn and succeed, improve and develop your design skills further, then we want to hear from you.
As design engineer, you will work closely with the sales department, following a Design Brief and producing economic schemes to a given timescale. This starts with the production of drawings for the client’s formwork range, producing material lists for costings and essentially guiding the delivery of the scheme, ensuring high standards are achieved and maintained throughout the entire process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design accurate AutoCAD drawings from proposal to final site use.
- Develop material lists for quotation and shipments to the site.
- Ensure drawings are safe, economic and efficient for infrastructure projects.
- Liaise with the operation department over delivery requirements and details.
- Participate in job site visits, identify any improper implementation.
- Work to a given timescale.
Requirements:
- HNC in Civil engineering + 1 year of experience in a formwork design office as designer.
- 1 year plus experience of Temporary Works Design.
- Good understanding of various formwork and falsework EN/UK standards.
- Knowledge and experience using design software (beam-pal, AutoCAD & Revit).
- Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency
- Creative problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to multitask in a busy environment.
