DESIGN ASSISTANT | MANCHESTER | FLEXIBLE WORKING | EARLY FINISH FRIDAYS | UP TO £22k

Are you a Design graduate looking for your first role? or perhaps you're already in a Design role but are looking for something new & exciting?
If this is you, then take a look at this role....

This brand work with some of the UK's biggest retailers from NEXT, New Look and ASOS. As the Design Assistant you'll get to work alongside these brands whilst creating new styles at the start of each season.
You must be motivated to learn and have an obvious love for design and fashion!

As the Design Assistant:

• Always be on the look out for the latest shapes, silhouettes, colours and fabrics for the season
• Utilise platforms such as Drapers, WGSN, Catwalks, and Social Media to constantly stay ahead of the game
• Build clear mood boards that demonstrate your trend messages
• Conduct current market research around newness with the competition
• Be quick to react and share your actions
• Ability to draw and sketch designs
• Capable of using Photoshop & Illustrator
• Bring your designs to life with annotations and key messages
• Go into detail with your designs around trims, fabrics and the fit
• Attend fit sessions with your design and buying team
• Support your designer with internal meetings and also domestic/international travel
• Communicate in a clear and concise manner to factories and suppliers around your designs and tech packs
• Create sample management trackers
• Track samples and keep initial costings up to date for wider sales and buying teams
• Work with the wider product teams for signs offs, rack ups, lessons learnt and any other meetings
• Support and own admin tasks such as meeting notes, photos and sample management

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
