Job description
As DMC Healthcares dermatology services continue to grow, we are looking for a Nurse to join our Dermatology team doing important, impactful work in healthcare.
As a Specialist Dermatology Nurse you will be working within our Dermatology pathway, you will Demonstrate specialist knowledge of dermatological nursing practice in order to deliver a quality service and act as a valuable member of the dermatological team. Providing high quality patient care alongside a Dermatology Clinician carry out minor operation procedures.
The Person

and more widely across the organisation, enabling you to be involved in the decisions that affect our
care delivery.
The suitable candidate would Registered qualified Nurse under the NMC Registered, Equivalent
Band 6 or above, with Dermatology experience of +6 years or experience as a Dermatology sister/
Charge Nurse. Registered with Voluntary Managed Register for Physician Associates.
You must have the willingness to contribute to the department and interact with the busy teams.
They must demonstrate a willingness to hybrid work and travel to other sites which requires a full
UK driving licence and the flexibility to work outside of core office hours.
The Role
The post holder will be responsible by using their specialist knowledge, skills and experience in providing
Dermatology care to undifferentiated patients attending the Dermatology and clinical staff management.
They recruit and train new staff and provide ongoing support and performance management to the
members of their team. They liaise with other Managers to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and work
with patients to ensure that they have comprehensive care that meet their individual needs.
They will inform the strategic direction of the Dermatology Pathway regarding the continued development
of Dermatology care. They will coordinate effective communication across the multi professional team,
between departments and the community. They will provide specialist education and development for
nursing staff and colleagues through education programmes, individual development programmes and
clinical supervision. They will directly support the nursing team and clinicians to complete competency based training programmes appropriate to their level.
They will promote excellence in nursing practice through the integration of expert clinical practice,
education, consultancy, acting as a resource, developing practice and commitment to research and audit.
They will report to Senior Managers, providing data to help them plan and ensuring that there are adequate
resources in place to meet demand. They also act as the first point of escalation for complaints and
feedback.
They will have experience of General Practice and/or Secondary Care. Experience of Dermatology and
condition, treatment, clinic for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, referral, and discharge of a diverse
range of patients with minor injuries/minor illnesses. They must have planning and organising skills, flexible,
cooperative, motivated, and proactive, must be a forward thinker have high levels of integrity and loyalty
and able to work well under pressure.
