Deputy Store Manager is known in Clarks as Sales & Service Manager.
The salary advertised is for a full time position, if part time the salary will be pro rata.
As a Sales and Service Manager, you’ll set a shining example of customer service and sales performance for your team. Running the shop floor, merchandising and supporting your team, the unique customer experiences you’ll create demonstrate why Clarks stores hold such a special place on the high street for two centuries.
You’ll be well rewarded here. First off, you’ll be given a free pair of shoes to wear for work and you’ll receive a discount card that’ll give you a third off on up to a further 20 pairs of Clarks shoes each year. You and your family will also have access to our Employee Assistance Programme which supports wellbeing too.
We’re all about career development. You’ll get all the training and encouragement you need to progress. Work with us for a couple of years and you’ll be able to access education grants to help with tuition costs for you and your family.
Flexible family leave, employee life cover and maternity/adoption cover—you’ll get great quality of life in return for the great work you do with us. Joining a business that’s serious about meeting its Sustainable Development Goals and donates to the Retail Trust, you’ll be helping build a better future for you, your family and the industry you work in.
What we need from you
You’ll have shown your abilities in retail before—that’s why you’ll be confident stepping into the role of Sales and Service Manager. A great communicator, you’ll inspire your team to smash their targets and build great relationships throughout the business. Using retail IT, building rapport and handling customer service issues often all at once, your energy will make you an asset to the team (able to deputise for the manager when required) and you’ll be looking at more senior roles before long.
About Clarks
Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking: a combination of invention and craftsmanship that has remained at the heart of what the brand does now. In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950, to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature that makes it unmistakably Clarks.
This season, we’re proud to introduce the Clarks Collective: five incredible activists championing authentic social change. From mental health awareness and LGBTQ+ rights to greater racial equality, these trailblazers are committed to creating a brighter future for us all – bringing to life Clarks’ new global campaign, For the World Ahead. Through spotlighting their stories and supporting their chosen charities and initiatives, we’re ready to lead the way. After all, we’re originators, not imitators. It’s who we are, who we’ve always been. And to change the world of tomorrow, we’re doing things differently today.
The benefits
As well as a rewarding career, development opportunities and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a generous holiday allowance and the opportunity to join the company pension scheme.
