Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sheffield Children's NHSFT for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join the paediatric mortuary service as a Deputy Mortuary Manager.
The successful candidate will join the small team to work in a recently renovated and expanded paediatric mortuary. The service conducts over 450 post mortems per year, covers up to 24 coroners areas and 20 hospital trusts for babies and children ranging from 12 weeks gestation to 18 years of age including specialist forensic cases. The role is to provide a compassionate and high quality mortuary service in conformance with relevant legislation, HTA code of practice and guidance.
The post-holder will be responsible for assisting in the provision of the Sheffield children's hospital paediatric mortuary service as well as offering support to the Mortuary manager and pathologists. Individuals should be motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well organised and hold Certificate & Diploma in Anatomical Pathology technology or Level 4 Diploma.
