The Role

We are working with a small to medium sized care provider who own a number of care homes across the UK, providing excellent nursing, residential and dementia care to elderly people.
My client is looking for a Deputy manager or Unit Manager/Team Leader looking to step up, with experience of working in an elderly care setting. The home requires a positive Deputy Manager who can support the Home Manager in turning around the care home, as well as supporting and encouraging the staff team to provide excellent care to all residents. Occupancy of the home is currently high with a small number of empty beds, and the home is currently going through some turnaround after the latest CQC inspection.
The Candidate
The successful candidate must have vast knowledge of the care sector and past experience of leading a team of carers .
They must be able to work alongside the Home Manager and aid in supporting and empowering their staff team, continue to build strong relationships with the local authorities, to allow the home to thrive. It is also important the Deputy Manager understands CQC requirements to ensures the home is meeting requirements set out to allow the home to achieve 'Good' ratings in future CQC inspections that take place.

Location
This role is based in Ormskirk, and is commutable from Liverpool, Warrington, Southport, Preston and Bolton

Interview Process
The interview process will be 2 stages.

Stage one: Face to face Interview with Home Manager
Stage two: Walk around the home

Summary
My client is seeking a Deputy Manager with exposure to working within an elderly care setting, where the successful candidate can work alongside the Home Manager to high standards and ensure the home is running in line with CQC requirements and providing the best quality care to all residents. In exchange, my client is offering a salary £15.50 per hour.
