IconInc is a luxury student accommodation provider with presence in Leeds, Liverpool and Lincoln. We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our amazing and friendly team at the Glassworks in Leeds!
The role of Deputy Manager is to support the General Manager and perform management duties when the General Manager is absent. The Deputy Manager is responsible for overseeing staff and their daily duties, providing leadership, setting good examples and engaging the team to achieve goals by offering support and mentoring. They will drive community and engagement amongst our residents and provide the best possible service, whilst ensuring the wider team do the same.
Duties:
- Take the lead as a 7* provider, ensuring the facilities are maintained and presented perfectly at all times and ensure that the level of customer service matches this.
- Delegate tasks and set deadlines to ensure the companies standards and needs are being met and staff members performance levels are maintained.
- Produce quality reports and ensure the smooth running of day to day operations such as building walk arounds, enquires, customer service & training.
- Responsible for creating a community amongst residents and driving engagement with events.
- Take an active role in the planning and management of peak seasons – lettings and summer transfer.
- Take an active role in ordering stock, and replenishing supplies.
- Ensure banking, cashing up, reports, account functions and reconciliation tasks are adhered to and ensure strict guidelines and procedures are followed.
- Responsible for the front office ensuring clear desk policy is adhered to, supplies and stocks are managed and maintained including coffee machine, stationary and lettings collateral.
Knowledge & Skills:

- Strong administrative, computer and organisational skills
- Able to work on own initiative but willing to seek advice and support when appropriate

- Highly motivated, results driven individual who works well as part of a team
- Proactive approach to dealing with, tenants and external contacts and colleagues
- Someone who is keen to take a leadership role and Inspire motivation and initiative through own work.
- Previous experience in a supervisor or management role is desirable.
The hours for this role are 40 hours per week worked 5 days out of 7 (weekends may be included.)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
