Deputy Housekeeping Manager
Exeter Hospital | Housekeeping | Permanent | Full Time
up to £23,00.00 per annum
37.5 hours per week
£500 welcome bonus after completion of probation period.
Nuffield Health is Britain's largest not for profit healthcare business and we are currently seeking Deputy Housekeeping Manager at Nuffield Exeter Hospital . The role will be responsible for a team of cleaners/housekeepers who ensure the cleanliness and appearance in the Hospital.
The Role
- Supervising a team of cleaners/housekeepers
- Coordinating with the Site management team
- Ensure the team have areas of responsibility, are following policies and procedures, and creating clean, pleasant and safe environment for customers.
- Guaranteeing that cleaning products used effectively, with instructions as well as health and safety procedures followed at all times.
- To order stock when required as advised by team and individual awareness
- To update records via the computer as required.
- Point of contact for the reporting of problems within the work areas or equipment and liaising with the management team to advise
The Person
- Previously managed or lead teams
- Experience of working in a customer-facing environment.
- Previous cleaning/facility management experience and knowledge is desirable.
- Well organized with good time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathetic and a friendly personality.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to priorities and plan around customer needs
- Stakeholder management within the club

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital
The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
