Following the retirement of our Associate Professor - Workforce Education and Development, Ian Sinker, we are looking to appoint a Deputy Director who will also lead our Centre of Excellence for Project Management. The Institute is starting to realise significant opportunities which have been developed over a considerable period and our relationships with major businesses in the region and beyond is enviable and the successful candidate will need to build on these strong foundations.
In addition to supporting the Director of the Institute in its overall management including strategic, resource and people management, you will play a lead role in the development of new and existing commercial partnerships which support the continued diversification of the Institute’s income, as well as the visibility, reputation and reach of the Institute and the University particularly but not exclusively across the region. In addition, you will translate high-level strategy and income growth plans, into deliverable programmes through expansion of high yield industrial partnerships and programmes, including the development and management of our apprenticeship offer.
As a senior post holder, you will demonstrate professionalism, technical competence, good interpersonal and networking skills, and the ability to work independently as required. You will lead and role model the University' values and leadership behaviours and be an integral part of delivering the University’s equality, diversity, and inclusivity priorities.
