Job description

What we are looking for: This is an exciting opportunity for a newly established senior role at London North West University Trust. This role leads on new ways of working using digital and informatics technologies. Transforming care delivery and developing the use of Clinical Informatics. This is open to senior nurses, midwives or AHPs.

Do you currently work in a digital/Informatics role, or do you have change and QI and service improvement experience which you want to use as a Change Agent improving clinical practice and patient outcomes?

The post holder will provide sound clinical advice and guidance, working collaboratively with the Chief Nursing, Midwifery & AHP Information Officer, Digital Midwife, Digital Matron, Nursing/AHP leaders and key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate, consistent, and successful use of integrated knowledge and information systems. They will also promote innovation and champion the development of a clinically appropriate information culture, as an enabler of change and quality improvement across the organisation. Therefore, you will need change management experience as well as significant clinical experience.

What we have to offer: The post holder will be instrumental in the delivery of various digital projects to ensure safe services whilst also facilitating engagement with end users to enable adoption and sustainability of systems and new working practices. The key project this year is the implementation of a Cerner EPR which is a shared domain across acute providers in the sector.

As the Deputy CNIO you will work closely with the Chief Nursing, Midwifery & AHP Information Officer (CNIO) and CCIO to bring strategic and operational leadership to aspects of our Clinical Digital and Informatics programme. You will be responsible for ensuring the use of technologies reflect nursing or AHP processes and support in the planning and delivery of digital systems across all areas of the Trust, enabling the collection and use of structured data.
