Job description
Reporting to the Business Development Manager (BDM) for Surgery Division and accountable to the Deputy Divisional Operations Director and triumvirate, this is a varied role, covering support of services across the division, delivery of the cost improvement programme and accurate, timely reporting of financial and other key performance indicators.
Great communication skills are essential across all staff groups.
The ability to adapt to changing priorities is key in this role, as is the need to be flexible in your approach to each working day.
The post holder will line manage staff within the Business Hub team.
The Surgery Business Hub is a small team which is proud of the support it gives to the division and to each other within the team. While everyone has their own responsibilities, there is good communication within the team to ensure everyone feels supported and able to work to the best of their ability with all the appropriate resources.
There are numerous routine tasks within the team, but also frequent ad hoc tasks that need prioritising. Team work is essential to achieving goals and objectives.
Clear communication with staff across all levels to deliver key messages making them relevant and understandable. Meeting regularly with senior managers to monitor and challenge financial, performance and workforce metrics.
Working with staff to deliver divisional and Trust objectives, including contractual obligations. Develop and maintain service level agreements and commercial contract arrangements with external organisations.
Support operational teams with the development of business cases for service improvement and transformation. Support BDM with annual planning and budget-setting.
