Job description
About The Role
Simplyhealth is a 150-year-old business with an amazing heritage and history of changing healthcare in the UK. We’re continually modernising, as reflected by the recent award to B-Corp status; something that is very important to our customers and to our people.
We have 2 million customers across our Health and Dental products and with an ever-increasing strain on the NHS, and a cost-of-living crisis, the products that Simplyhealth offer are needed more than ever before. But Simplyhealth have bigger ambitions than that. We’re on a mission to improve access to healthcare for everyone in the UK to help people live their best lives.
A unique opportunity at Simplyhealth has come up, for a self-employed Denplan Practice Advisor. You’ll need to be available for around 20 days a year to carry out the role (this includes ongoing training days).
As you may be aware, one of our highly regarded features of the Denplan Quality Programme is our face to face, peer review assessment of Denplan members and their practices. Alongside this, Denplan Excel, accredited by UKAS, is a comprehensive clinical governance programme and an invaluable compliance tool for practices.
As Denplan Practice Advisor, you’ll be responsible for peer review assessment. This means providing information, advice and support to practice teams, to ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements and Denplan standards, (including Denplan Excel requirements where relevant).
About You
An understanding of, and belief in, our Denplan product is essential. In order to be able to speak with authority, you should:
- Be Denplan Excel Certified
- Perform 15 hours clinical work per week in a Denplan practice
- Be experienced in running and managing a general dental practice (It is worth noting that being a Practice Owner isn’t a necessity)
- Be prepared to undergo initial training, regular update training and audit as part of internal governance
- Commit to providing 20 days a year, including ongoing training days. (The actual number of days that an Advisor will be required to carry out assessments may vary and cannot be guaranteed)
- Have an understanding that the Advisor has an ambassadorial role, promoting both the Quality Programme and Denplan.
In Return
The role is on a self-employed basis; paid at a competitive daily rate (Guild Rate equivalent) plus reimbursement of expenses in line with our expenses policy.
Full training will be provided so you can carry out your duties successfully. Once training is complete, all Advisors are kept up to date with legislative and regulatory updates via email, and at Advisor conferences.
