Job description

The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is seeking an experienced Demi Chef De Partie who will be required to be able to run a section, or a number of sections within the kitchen effectively and efficiently. To prepare food in any areas of the kitchen assigned by a superior and to carry out cleaning and any reasonable duties requested. To support and guide and train junior members of the team.

As Demi Chef De Partie your key responsibilities include:

To carry out food preparation as specified by the senior chef on duty
To ensure that all food is prepared hygienically and safely and stored at the correct temperature at all times
To work cleanly and tidily at all times and ensure the team are working using best practices
To maintain good working relationships with all other colleagues and motivate the teams around you both in the kitchen and Food and Beverage department
To direct, guide and train the Commis chefs and Kitchen porters in a calm and clear way
Ensure the correct chemicals are being used for cleaning and that all the junior staff are sufficiently trained in handling these products correctly
