We are looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join us bringing value in forecasting demand and planning retailer selling in, which will lead an efficient distribution of LEGO products in the market to facilitate getting them in the hands of the shoppers and consumers.
This is a meaningful role gathering and applying long term planning assumptions together with the sales and marketing teams as an input for the monthly planning process. To secure quality into the forecast it is essential to have a holistic view, know how current and future performance can and will affect the forecast and to challenge and collaborate with both marketing and sales on their planning driving different projects related to Operations within the BU.
Core Responsibilities
- Make a weekly plan at SKU level on a 4-months horizon.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations
- Use statistical modelling and historical sales analysis to make the best SKU forecast.
- Analyze, review, and adjust critical metrics (Forecast – Bias; Mix; Inventory Turns)
- Brief the wider BU teams on forecast targets and guidelines to capture assumptions whilst working on commonalities to build the best baseline forecast.
- Take the lead on monthly input cycle supporting the S&OP lead on building the BU plan.
- Provide insights and challenge weekly/ monthly plans.
- Conduct internal projects on both local and regional levels.
- Initiate and drive continuous forecasting improvement initiatives.

This role sits within market operations in UK&I. Its purpose is to make sure that our consumers can find the right products at retailers and that the processes around it happen in the most efficient way. More concretely, the team delivers BU demand plans, order management, inventory management, customer service and secures operational infrastructure for other market functions (Sales, Marketing). The team is also responsible for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, consumer sales data analysis and demand management.
Do you have what it takes?
- Proven experience in a multinational consumer goods company
- Strong data management abilities
- Extensive experience in demand planning and forecasting
- A natural communicator with the ability to take complexity and tell a story.
- Strong partner management experience delivering a message to different levels as well as departments.
- Ability to thrive through change, a natural flair for learning new systems and processes related to the role.
- English language proficiency both written and spoken.
