The base salary for this role is up to £54,421, with a negotiable market supplement up to £20,000, based on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience.

About the role
This is a hugely exciting opportunity for a Head of Delivery who understands how to lead a team and to help its members to learn and grow to be effective as possible in their roles.
You’ll be joining an award-winning team dedicated to developing and maintaining user-centred product and services. This will help meet the needs of many of our user groups - from applying to a course, to finding research collaborations and much more.
This team is hugely ambitious. We need someone who is accountable for the delivery of key strategic projects and the overall planning and measurement of complex services.
This position is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis.
Your responsibilities
You’ll need to:
- lead and motivate multiple multi-disciplinary teams, helping them organise and plan their work, ensuring they make progress and create services that meet users’ needs
- be accountable for the phasing and delivery of the team’s work against the overall vision for the product using Agile methodologies
- ensure teams clearly communicate their approach, plans and learning
- identify the people, skills and resources that the teams need to deliver towards the agreed goals
- identify, communicate and manage risks, issues, dependencies and blockers
- manage stakeholders to ensure good relations and effective communication
- lead in the University’s delivery management community, by learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge
Your skills and experience
You’ll need to have experience working at a senior level in user-centred design, with either the skills needed for or some experience in:
- successfully delivering digital projects and services, leading from initiation to delivery and support whilst planning, coordinating and motivating teams through the full product lifecycle
- stakeholder management and the ability to mediate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels (senior to executive) and between organisational, technical and departmental boundaries
- Agile methodologies and how they help deliver products and services at scale
- flexibly managing and deploying people, teams, and other environmental factors to resolve and manage impediments, blockers and risks
- providing support and constructive feedback as they move through the lifecycle phases
- managing and mentoring team members, and providing them with guidance, training and constructive feedback
