Job title Projects Support and Delivery Manager Directorate Rehabilitation Reports to Service Manager Icanho Supervises unregistered support services staff Purpose of the Job Working closely with the service manager to organically grow the provision of community neurological rehabilitation services in the eastern region. Responsible for the delivery of a small number of key development projects within Icanho strategic development plan from inception to completion. Supporting promotion and awareness raising of Icanho and its services. Main Duties Work with service manager to identify opportunities to develop community based services in addition to the current core contract that align to Livability and Icanho strategy.

Interpret and act upon new national policy and direction, ensuring adherence to best practice, and informed decision making, to enable and drive change To ensure any new service provision is person centred and outcome focussed Identify risks and barriers to achievement of objectives and manage these effectively Preparing information for and supporting the writing of tenders and grant bids. Supporting the development and writing of business cases. Develop operational systems and processes for the set-up of a new service. Support the development of a marketing strategy for these services Implementation and operational establishment of new services to point of business as usual.

This may include recruitment and organisation of staff induction and training. Provide reports on project status and outcomes. Establish systems and processes to ensure effective evaluation of any new service development/project. Ensure that you work in a way that supports the wellbeing of the staff team.

Responsible for co-ordinating information for the service manager, SMT and other senior internal and external stakeholders. Attend meetings with commissioners and stakeholders to explore current needs Present Lead staff meetings and supervise staff. Develop and maintain effective communication systems within the service and externally Ensure relationships are developed and maintained with health and social care professionals. Member of senior management team.

Undertake other duties as required. Promote the organisation in a positive manner. Person Specification Essential Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification Knowledge and Skills Substantial experience of operational management in health and or social care services, community based provision, people with disabilities. Excellent communication skills Able to build networks and key contacts and manage a range of stakeholders Excellent presentation skills Ability to work cooperatively and to handle conflict. Undertake risk assessment. Ability to develop positive relationships within the work setting and contribute effectively to achieve consistency and quality.

Ability to demonstrate effective management and leadership. Knowledge of national policy and direction in relation to health and social care in particular neurological, physical disabilities and rehabilitative care and support. Knowledge of financial management. Knowledge of people management.

Understanding of the CQC regulations and standards Person centred care and co-production In depth understanding of safeguarding processes. Ability to achieve service delivery to national standards. Excellent knowledge of word processing, spread sheets and presentation packages. Ability to produce and present accurate, clear and concise reports and management information orally, in writing and using IT.

Ability to motivate, supervise, monitor staff and ensure that training and development needs are met. Experience: Track record of achievement in the following areas: üDevelopment and delivery of continuously improving high quality services. üImplementation of new services or projects üEffective management and leadership. üFinancial management and budgeting.

üBusiness planning. At least 2 years of experience within the last 5 years relevant to health and social care community based services. At least 2 years of experience managing and supervising professional staff Knowledge and working experience within the field of neurological care and rehabilitation. Experience of working with commissioners of services and knowledge of contract management.

Experience of building links and partnerships. Knowledge of and ability to implement and be compliant with the appropriate regulatory essential standards of quality and safety. Experience of managing data or data bases. Experience of managing staff and volunteers including recruiting, inducting and developing individuals and teams.

Experience of performance management including handing of disciplinary and grievance issues. Technical/Work based skills: General skills and attributes: Flexible, with a pro-active approach to new ideas and opportunities. Commitment to learning Enthusiastic, positive and can do attitude. A self-motivated, tenacious self-starter with energy, stamina and resilience.

Able to meet the physical, mental and emotional challenges of the role. Driving Licence and access to a vehicle. Ability to travel to services and national and local meetings and events as needed Ability to manage own time and work load efficiently and effectively. Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
