We’re looking for a high impact, innovative, versatile Project Delivery Manager to help us shape, deliver and manage modern services and infrastructure for the entire company.

You will be part of the Client-Side Services delivery team within TechOps. This team covers all things Workplace and Identity & Access Management. Therefore, working knowledge and delivery experience across Microsoft 365, Laptops and Mobile Devices, Collaboration tools, Productivity tools and Access Management is essential.

You will be responsible for the end to end delivery of BAU product and service enhancements and TechOps Change projects consisting of a wide range of small change to complex multiple phase projects. Working collaboratively with Workplace and Identity Technical Service Owners, Architects ad Engineers and delivering on behalf of Tech Ops Leadership team, this role will be critical to help us deliver on our IT and OT services roadmap.

The Team The TechOps team was created following the IPO of Elanco, separating from Elanco’s previous parent company Eli Lilly & Company. TechOps is responsible for all IT Infrastructure across the enterprise and looking to take the opportunity to think differently, build for the future and leverage modern technologies, services and processes. Internally, we like to describe TechOps as a ‘start-up within an enterprise’!

You’ll spend your time:

Project and Change Management

  • Management of TechOps projects from inception through to completion
  • Project manage the planning, design, execution and transition of new portfolio and BAU Change projects.
  • Detailed planning for each project including resource requirements and allocation including Business Analysts, Architects and SME Engineers.
  • Requirements gathering and validation.
  • Co-ordination of the Creation, review, approval and execution of all project documentation including Charters, Strategy Papers, Scope & Requirements, Designs, Delivery Plans, Deliverables and Benefits, Communications Plans, Release & Change notes, Testing and Reporting.
  • Project Governance spanning daily stand-ups, triage sessions, backlog reviews, status updates, project specific Working Groups and Steering Group meetings including robust management of Release, Change and RAID registers.
  • Proactive and robust management of all project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies across multiple projects and various resource pools, both internal to TechOps and external to other key functions and 3rd party partners/vendors/suppliers.
  • Alignment and compliance with Release & Change Management process including all documentation relating to project deliverables.
  • Proactive engagement with Operations regarding early involvement in project activity spanning all requirements relating to product/service transition and handover to BAU support teams.
  • Managing project budgets and the financial performance of each project.
  • Partner/vendor/3rd party supplier management, where required.
  • Owning and administering all work within our project management software (e.g. updating the backlog, updating timelines, updating the status) Compliance with TechOps Delivery Framework
  • Maintaining alignment with TechOps portfolio/roadmap

Stakeholder & Communications Management

  • Supporting Technical Service Owners as they act as a liaison between TechOps, IT, OT and the Business
  • Validation of key stakeholders (including their involvement and requirements) for each project
  • Resolution of requirements conflict and or additional information from the business
  • Creation of project specific communication plans, working collaboratively with TechOps Service Director, Technical Service Owners, OCM lead and Internal Communications
  • Facilitating meetings with key IT or Business resources and the TechOps team (e.g. discovery meetings, requirements gathering and solution option calls)
  • Representing the status of projects at the internal TechOps forum and key forums outside TechOps via structure reporting
  • Ensuring project reporting reaches all appropriate stakeholder communities including the creation of presentational packs for different people (e.g. roadmaps, timelines, gantt views, dashboards)
  • Managing Information Requests or Escalation Management for project updates from all Stakeholder Groups
  • Collaborating with people outside of TechOps, acting as the bridge between Architects, Engineers and IT or Business teams
  • Following up with people outside TechOps if we have more questions or need clarifications

Team Management

  • Managing the resourcing and capacity across the team, including where TechOps resources are required in projects not owned by TechOps.
  • Responsible for resource utilisation and continuous prioritisation to ensure resource allocation and individual workloads are balanced correctly.
  • Accountable for productivity of project teams, when working remotely.
  • Ensuring security, privacy and quality practices are embedded in everything we do.
  • Continuous reviews to identify areas for improvement and enhancement regarding our current ways of working.

Your Experience

  • Business Analyst background
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management/project delivery (PM certification(s) such as Prince II, MSP, Agile, Scrum and SAfE, as well as ITIL, desirable)
  • 3-5 years of experience in information technology/technical environment
  • Working knowledge and delivery experience across Microsoft 365, Laptops and Mobile Devices, Collaboration tools, Productivity tools and Access Management is essential
  • Previous experience of working in a controlled/regulated environments preferable

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
