Engineering Delivery Manager - Water Industry

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Engineering Delivery Manager with experience in the water industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join their team and lead the successful delivery of engineering projects in the water sector.

Role Specifics:

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Lead and manage the engineering project delivery team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective project execution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of engineering projects, while effectively managing supplier deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring that projects are well-organized, properly resourced, and delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, keeping them informed about project plans, progress, and addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Work closely with the Sales teams to align project objectives with customer needs and expectations.
  • Provide regular forecasts of project revenue income and monitor financial performance against targets.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the commercial and contractual aspects of each project, and ensure that works are planned and delivered accordingly.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering delivery team, implementing lean practices and optimizing project processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the water industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong technical expertise in engineering principles related to the water sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Sound commercial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets and financial performance.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and implementing lean methodologies.
