This is a key role within Transformation that is accountable for end to end delivery of a significant and strategically important initiatives providing a consistent approach, improved transparency and clear accountability for outcomes whilst championing continuous improvement to our improve speed to market, quality and predictability of our delivery.
Across the portfolio we are adopting more and more agile ways of working and many initiatives will require integration of deliveries from agile teams and waterfall development as well as business change and channel readiness.

What you’ll be doing
  • Own the end to end delivery ensuring focus on the desired Business Outcomes
  • Building high performing, self-organising and empowered teams
  • Transforming our business by effectively landing changes in policies, people and processes through all initiatives
  • Understanding our business and our customers so you can ‘join the dots’ and spot/exploit opportunities to get better value from the money we spend on delivering change
  • End to end ownership of a single or multiple deliveries, either standalone or as part of a wider programme or portfolio
  • Financial/budget management & control. Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Lead communication with stakeholders and work to drive strong, open and sustained communication channels both within function and across the wider stakeholder community
  • Ensuring decisions are made to protect/ enhance the Customer Experience, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do
  • Work with stakeholders to proactively resolve conflict through problem-solving, negotiation, open communication and direct influencing
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the products and services in wider portfolios as well as the future needs and opportunities of the technology which underpins products and services
  • Create and sustain a proven network across the business to enable efficient and effective delivery and ensure credibility and ownership of decisions
  • Set-up and manage governance, scope, risk and issues, compliance, resource planning, budget management and reporting for your deliveries
  • Liaise with wider delivery community across BT Group to secure alignment on interdependencies and ensure these are tracked and managed across projects
  • Focus on the Business Change to ensure all change lands excellently within the Channels
  • Delivery of business outcomes in line with the Business Case, ensuring where there is deviation the impact on the Business Benefit levers is identified and understood
  • Conduct Retrospectives and Post Implementation Reviews to capture lessons learned from previous deliveries
  • Experimenting with tools and techniques as agreed with your Outcome Lead, and sharing your learnings with the delivery community.
The skills and experience you’ll have under your belt
  • Planning & Organising – having clear and regularly updated project plans and RAID logs are key to ensuring all supplier individuals and organisation are aligned to delivering projects
  • Inclusive facilitation – Integrating the team and facilitate collaboration and workflow amongst team members
  • Coaching – Encouraging individual team members to recognise their own strengths and development areas, engaging them in the areas that they may need to develop and gaining commitment from them to improve
  • Test, try and learn – Ability to operate effectively in new environments, proactively tries out new approaches and skills
  • Working Collaboratively – builds strong and sustainable relationships cross-functionally to enable alignment of work. Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
  • Prioritising the customer – Keeping the ‘end user’ and their interests/needs at the centre of easy decision
  • Embrace & own a challenge – Constantly looking for opportunities to improve and deliver bigger wins. Takes the initiative and autonomously define what good looks like in their role and what needs to be done to keep momentum going
  • Breakdown complexity – Ability to quickly get to grips with new information and focus on the most pertinent factors. Highlight the key issues and pull information together to arrive at a reasoned outcome. Overcome chaos and ambiguity, simplify complex problems and situations into manageable/tangible tasks
  • Delivery of Results – continued focus on Project & Programme Delivery KPI’s which will be linked to individual and team objectives. Increase team efficiency, motivate the team, champions change that will ensure quality and timeliness and ensure the definition of done is being followed
  • Goal-orientated – Ability to work to tight deadlines in an ever changing environment. Someone that can address distractions, disruptions and obstacles so that the remainder of the team is free to focus on the work of producing output that will generate the desired outcome
Experience:
  • Experience of delivering change in organisations, adopting a combination of agile and waterfall approaches
  • Stays up-to-date with tools and methods and experiments (within agreed risk parameters) in order to improve
  • Able to effect lasting transformation through effective business change management
  • Relevant industry experience within a consumer environment
  • Able to influence individuals at all levels in different departments, including senior executives
  • Specific experience of delivering technology and organisational change projects
  • Broad knowledge of technology / media / telecoms sector and strong competitor awareness
  • Understanding of product development life cycle, product design and implementation
  • In depth experience and knowledge of our channels and associated platforms / technology (Sales, Customer Care, Digital, Retail)
  • In depth experience of 1 or more of our products (Mobile, Fixed services, TV & Sport)
  • Knowledge and understanding of process design and implementation
  • Change management (organisation and cultural skills)
  • Experience of development of processes and roles within associated functional departments.
Would be good to have
Professional accreditation from traditional project management and/or agile delivery
Line management responsibility of a Graduate or a Delivery Co-ordinator.
