Job description
Synergy CRS LTD is looking for a Delivery Driver on behalf of our client. Our Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering products to customers and maintaining customer relations.
Schedule:
We offer a flexible schedule to our Delivery Drivers. We currently have 3 shifts: 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 7am. The last shift of the night has the most potential for advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Load and unload delivery vehicles and maintain accurate records of delivery vehicle mileage and hours.
·Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses within a single route.
·Unload and deliver items to customer locations.
·Provide accurate and timely customer service to customers at locations where deliveries were made.
·Assist with inventory control by counting and packaging items as needed for customer deliveries.
·Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
·Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the truck after shift is over and report any maintenance problems to the manager.
·Report any safety concerns or accidents to the manager immediately.
·Report any maintenance problems to the manager so that he/she may be contacted by a supervisor if needed.
·Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Delivery Drivers must have experience driving large trucks or trailers because this role is predominantly in cargo space driving the delivery vehicle making frequent stops on roads for delivery routes. This role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of boxes up to 50 pounds because of the large packages that need to be delivered. This role also requires working in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) because the majority of time is spent outside in the elements. The job requires working quickly and efficiently while also maintaining accuracy in order to meet high standards of service for our customers who are outside contractors who depend on us daily for their business.
