Job Summary

As Southdown Coffee’s Weekend Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivery of all of our pastry to our retail locations on Saturday and Sunday. The initial morning pastry pickup will be at our Patchogue location. The hours are 5:15 am-9 am.

General Accountabilities:

• Load and deliver pastry orders to all Southdown locations using company vehicle according to schedule
• Communicate effectively with all members of the roasting team, wholesale clients, and pastry team to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Determine routes that maximize efficiency
• React to change productively and remain flexible and efficient when changes arise
• Ensure that all food and coffee delivery is completed in a timely manner to meet schedule demands
• Requires the ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials
• Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle, including interior and exterior and refuel as needed
• Help to set up and break down our table and equipment at the Sea Cliff Farmers Market on Saturdays, June-October. This includes picking up supplies from Glen Cove and bringing them to the market. Assist with table coverage when needed.
• Responsible for maintaining a positive image of Southdown Coffee to customers. This position is one of the faces of Southdown in the community

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Day range:

• Weekend availability
• Weekends only

Shift:

• 4 hour shift
• Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Patchogue, NY 11772: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
