Job description
Scootamart is a leading mobility scooter retailer in Preston, Lancashire, with a commitment to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently looking for a Service Engineer and Delivery Driver to join our team.
As a Service Engineer and Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our mobility scooters to customers across Preston and the surrounding areas. You will also provide on-site technical support and repairs to our customers, ensuring their mobility scooters are functioning safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver mobility scooters to customers across Preston and the surrounding areas
- Provide on-site technical support and repairs to customers, ensuring their mobility scooters are functioning safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work carried out
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and testing of mobility scooters
- Assist with stock management and inventory control
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing excellent customer service at all times
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence
- Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferred
- Training to diagnose and repair technical faults
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours
