Full Time, Warehouse operative / Driver
Specification
- Report to your line manager with open and honest communication.
- Collection of stock or goods from a collection point ensuring that all customer orders are complete.
- Packing goods in the delivery vehicle in an organised manner that matches the order in which deliveries will be made.
- When periods are quiet and driving duties are slow you will be expected to work onsite within the warehouse
- Full UK drivers licence
- Use of handheld scanner device.
- Stock taking when needed
- Planning the most efficient route for deliveries.
- Doing regular maintenance checks on delivery vans and informing management of any issues.
- Driving in inclement weather such as snow.
- Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Unloading packages at the destination and getting clients to sign the necessary paperwork.
- Updating route, mileage and delivery logs.
- Lifting and manual work will be required.
- Respectful approach to all Pugh’s policies including health and safety, and use of staff uniforms.
- Able to work bank holidays and some weekends on a rota basis.
This is a role that will require flexibility where needed, you will be required to work within a warehouse moving boxes of furniture or pallets of stock but during busy times required to drive and deliver the goods as part of a team.
