Job description
JOB TITLE: Delivery Driver
General Summary: We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction. You will also be required to help pick orders in the warehouse, set up your truck runs, and have a good knowledge of the Edmonton area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
- Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
- Follow route and time schedule
- Inform on new products and services
- Deliver equipment & products to Alberta cities, towns, and municipalities
- Bi-weekly routes may include overnight stay with paid accommodations
- Complete logs and reports
- Follow regulations and safety standards
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs if required
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a delivery driver
- Valid professional driver’s license
- Customer relation & Interaction skills
- Good computer & tablet skills
- Handling of power equipment (Forklift & Pallet Jacks)
- Ability to work in group or individual settings
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good driving record with minimal traffic violations
- 5 ton truck experience is preferred
- Applicant must be 25 years of age or older
Details
- Working hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Overtime hours will be required on occasions)
- Working hours per week: 40 hrs - 50 hrs (Morning start of 7:00 AM may be required)
- High school degree
