Job description
We are currently seeking experienced and responsible 3.5T LWB/SWB Multi-drop drivers to join our team, specializing in delivering sensitive products across various locations within the South West. As a crucial member of our delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of sensitive goods.
Location: Cullompton, Devon EX15
Contract type: Permanent / Full Time once 6 week trial period completed
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, Early / Day shift patterns, no weekends or B/H working required unless by prior arrangement and at O/T rate.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport sensitive products to designated locations throughout the UK.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, ensuring a high standard of road safety and responsible driving practices.
- Perform pre trip and post trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working conditions, reporting any defects or repair needs to management.
- Load and unload sensitive products with care and attention to detail, ensuring they are properly secured for transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, photos and any necessary documentation.
- All deliveries are to be made with no discrepancies and to the correct address 100% of the time.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing our company in a professional manner when in contact with customer.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times in line with the Data Protection Act.
Essential Skills :
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Ability to handle sensitive products with care and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet delivery schedules.
- Ability to adhere to safe working procedures
- Consistent compliance with policy and procedure (in particular reference to Health and Safety)
- Excellent knowledge of UK road networks, traffic regulations and safety practices
- Proven experience as a multi drop driver preferably handling sensitive or delicate products.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Must be flexible towards working hours
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and responsibility
- Full UK Driving License: Must hold a valid and current driving license with No more than 6 points.
- DBS (CRB Check) will be a requirement for the correct successful candidate to meet the criteria
