NAS Recruitment Services Scotland Ltd is seeking a Driver’s Mate for our Motherwell facility. This position is responsible for transporting freight and operating a forklift.
Essential Duties
- Operate all necessary equipment to load and unload freight
- Maintain safe and clean operation of the plant by following all procedures, rules, and regularities
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel in the workplace
- Ability to work long hours on a permanent basis, with some flexibility required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing risk and maintaining safety standards as required by your job function and company policy
- Maintain current knowledge of current events within the industry through on-the-job training or through various sources such as industry publications or company websites
Experience:
·2 years of experience operating a forklift preferred but not required.
·2 years of experience as a Driver’s Mate preferred but not required.
·Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations per your job function as well as company policy.
·Ability to follow written and verbal instructions due to which ability to make correct decisions based on information available.
·Ability to work independently with little supervision while also being able to manage time effectively.
·Knowledge of industrial equipment operation, industrial materials handling, industrial construction, industrial construction techniques, industrial machinery operation and operation techniques.
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 8 weeks
Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
