Job Specific
Room Service:
- Prepares silver, room service trays, coffee etc. at start of and throughout shift, as required
- Presets trays and carts as required throughout shift. Prepares each tray for specific order requirements
- Checks all Room Service Orders for accuracy and completeness prior to departing kitchen
- Delivers Room Service Orders to guestroom in a timely manner
- Sets up and serves order in guest room, according to guest preference and Loews Hotels Standards, in a polite professional manner
- Obtains proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered
- Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly
- Picks up soiled Room Service trays and carts from guestrooms and corridors as needed
- Cleans and maintains Room Service area and equipment
- Delivers amenities to guestrooms
Refreshment Pantry:
- Inventories guest room Refreshment Pantries to determine consumption by guest
- Prepares Refreshment Pantry charge ticket and forwards to appropriate cashier for billing to guest account
- Replenishes Refreshment Pantry items consumed
- Inspect Refreshment Pantry contents and maintains freshness of product
- Cleans and maintains refreshment pantry appearance to established standards
- Removes consumed amenity items and/or Room Service trays from guest rooms
- Completes DND/No Service, inventory and in-house guest list paperwork and reports
- Communicates discrepancies regarding Refreshment Pantry usage to Captain
- Restocks and rotates Refreshment Pantry attendant cart supplies
General:
- Completes required set up / preparation, at beginning of shift
- Inspects all equipment prior to and at end of shift, reports any needed repairs to supervisor
- Inventories supplies at beginning of shift, obtains supplies necessary to support forecasted level of business
- Performs delivery, placement and any required set up of amenities and/or equipment requested by guest
- Completes assigned closing duties at end of shift
- Other duties as assigned
- Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
- Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
- Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
- Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
- Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
- Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
- Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
- Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
- Recycles whenever possible
- Remains current with hotel information and changes
- Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One plus years experience as Food Service /Room Service Attendant in quality food service/hotel operation
- Thorough knowledge of quality food service techniques and standards
- Exceptional guest service attitude and abilities
- Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighting 35+ pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
