INTERLOCH TRANSPORT JOB DESCRIPTION: DRIVERS
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
PLACE OF WORK: Helensburgh and Surrounding area
FTE: £21,100 ( or £10.82/hour + £1.31 holiday pay for Bank work)
WORKING HOURS: are generally around 9am-5pm Monday to Friday but may include earlier starts and/or later finishes and rare weekend requests. We try to be flexible as possible with our staff and members.
SUMMARY: Interloch Transport provides accessible door to door transport for the elderly and disabled and we are building up a service in the Helensburgh area. We support our members to their medical appointments, to access local services and for social engagements
The Drivers role is varied and rewarding, There is already a current driver team in place for support and full training will be provided. We are currently looking for a Bank Driver to cover sickness, holidays and the general increase in demand for the service.
A D1 is needed which will be on a licence passed before 1996. If you are looking for an organisation that values their staff and a great team to work with then get in touch.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily vehicle safety checks. Vehicle, passenger and road safety
Minor vehicle maintenance (oil top up for example)
Provision of door to door transport Keeping to the organisations policies & Schedule
Assisting mobile passengers and wheelchair users
Operating the tail lift and side steps
Potentially shopping/lifting shopping for clients
Prescription delivery for clients
Handling currency
Related admin
Cleaning vehicle
Provide feedback to the office on vehicle & passenger issues
Take on duties and responsibilities as allocated by the manager
REQUIREMENTS & ATTRIBUTES NECESSARY
A full driving licence + D1 and a polite, caring & patient disposition
A minimum of 4 years driving experience A safe driving style
Enrolment in the PVG scheme and a professional attitude
Completion of MiDAS training (provided)
EXPERIENCE DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
Advanced driving qualifications
Experience driving minibuses or other passenger vehicles
Care experience
