We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route/material deliveries and a proven track record of safe and efficient driving. As a Box Truck Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to designated locations while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities:
- Safely maneuver a 26' box truck to efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries
- Load and unload merchandise from the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Verify and confirm the accuracy of delivery orders with customers
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts
- Communicate with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery status
- Handle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules and protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a box truck or delivery driver
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
- Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety
- Ability to handle physical demands of loading and unloading goods
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills for verifying order quantities and handling cash transactions
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing delivery paperwork
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Flexible schedule with the willingness to work occasional weekends or overtime
