Position Title: Delivery Helper

Department: Warehouse

Position reports to: Delivery Managers

Schedule: Part-Time/On Call, Start Time 5:30am, Monday - Friday (as needed)

Primary purpose and function of position: Assist the delivery driver in all tasks necessary for the successful delivery of products to our retail accounts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform delivery duties as directed
• Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Operate delivery equipment and unload product from trucks
• Rotate and deliver product where customer requests at retail accounts
• Pickup empty cooperage, pallets or product as necessary
• Stack and separate empty cooperage and pallets on truck for return to warehouse
• Communicates with supervisor, co-workers and customers during the delivery process
• Clean out delivery truck at the end of the route
• Ability to stack and transport product using a 2-wheel hand truck
• Comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policies
• Adhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulations
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED certificate required
• Must have the ability to read, write and follow instructions
• Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Customer service satisfaction is a must
• Project a friendly, courteous and professional image
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent customer orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: repetitively handling cases of beer, reaching above head height, climbing, bending, twisting, squatting, and kneeling
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push or pull package product weighing 50 plus pounds and draught product weighing 165 plus pounds
• Regular and reliable attendance required
• Valid driver license and safe driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and some holidays as needed
• Ability to pass a required pre-employment physical, background, and drug screening
• Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned
