Job description

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor environment that involves delivering packages to commercial and construction areas. Delivery Driver must have excellent time-management, customer service and driving skills. Qualified applicants must have a valid G or higher license issued in the province of Ontario. Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with Great Lakes Supply guidelines. Knowledge of the London, Ontario area is considered an asset.
- Full-time (approx. 40 hours a week)

Duties
- Deliver a wide variety of products to businesses and addresses throughout the city
- Plan routes of deliveries in timely schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate company delivery cargo van
- Provide fire extinguisher inspection services scheduled
- Resolve customers’ complaints
- Assist in pulling orders by preparing products for shipping, delivery or pick-up, as needed
- Assist in stocking products on shelves, as needed
- Inform customers about new products and services
- Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage
- Practice safe driving and ensure items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery
Requirements
- Must be 25 years of age or older (for insurance purposes)*
- Must have a valid Ontario G license*
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Able to navigate easily within the city
- Excellent time-management skills
- Clean driving record
- Delivery experience an asset*
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
