Frontier Supply Chain Solutions Inc. ( www.frontierscs.com ) is a rapidly growing provider of US and Canadian Customs Services, Trade Consulting, and Supply Chain Logistics, including parcel and courier delivery.

We are seeking Independent Contractors to deliver freight daily as needed for our clients. Drivers must be flexible, have a reliable vehicle, and know areas within Winnipeg and Manitoba. Personal vehicles with valid insurance are accepted.

All freight is picked up at our warehouse on Hervo Street in the Fort Garry Industrial Park. Independent Contractors are needed to deliver various types of freight (small parcels like assorted eCommerce purchases, and/or larger client-specific items) and on various schedules.

Independent Contractors will deliver or swap or set up assorted freight on the Same Day, Rush, Direct Non-Stop basis. Independent Contractors are required to be available during the following timeframes:

  • Weekdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
  • Afterhours from 5:00pm to 8:00am and all day weekends
  • Weekdays from 7:00am to 9:00pm.

Remuneration is paid via EFT on a biweekly schedule and will be directly related to the type of delivery (i.e., small parcel/ecommerce, fulfillment), distance of delivery and service needed (safe drop, afterhours, etc.). On call deliveries may extend to the ON & SK borders (towns such as Brandon MB, Kenora ON, Dauphin MB, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Must have own, reliable vehicle with 3rd party liability and cargo loss insurance
  • Valid Class 5 license
  • Clean driver’s abstract (MPI report)
  • DSR Movement history (MPI report), showing at least +1 or greater
  • Clean criminal background check (Wpg Police Service, RCMP or similar)
  • Vehicle must be insured with proper insurance
  • Larger vehicles considered an asset
  • Mobile phone with data for communication with dispatch, support team, clients, and courier delivery application
  • Able to lift/transport 25 lbs. alone or with tools such as hand dolly
  • Knowledge of Winnipeg
  • Flexible in delivery area and delivery schedule
  • Able to complete out of town deliveries as needed
  • Able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English

Responsibilities:

  • Load, Transport, Deliver/Swap/Install items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
  • Adherence to priority delivery timelines and schedules
  • Process freight & adjusting to changing volume... while also meeting delivery timelines
  • Must complete training on client specific processes
  • Must complete training on internal requirements. ie. Transportation Dangerous Goods, Inbound/Outbound operating procedures, cargo securement, Health & Safety etc.
  • Be a good brand ambassador, adhere to any client specific identification or security measures, including wearing company clothing as required
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver an asset
