Job description
We are a Fresh & Frozen Food Company that’s has been in business for over 26 years & are based on Wellingborough, Leyland Trading Estate NN8 1RT.
We are looking for a Part-Time delivery driver that would work a set 2 days per week, every week (Tuesdays & Fridays) but would also be able to cover full time delivery driver holidays and sickness.
We are also looking for someone that is responsible for the up keep of a warehouse cleaning schedule when not required to cover driving roles.
We currently employ 3 Full Time drivers meaning there will be a minimum of 62 days a year to cover.
When fully staffed we expect the role will include warehouse maintenance duties & cleaning schedule up keep to be carried out on Wednesdays and a small delivery run to be completed on Fridays. The set up of when task will be completed could change further down the line.
When working 2 days per week (Tuesdays & Fridays) the working hours will be 9am to 2pm.
When covering staff holidays we can expect the hours to change to 7am - 12pm with the option of logging and being paid for any overtime worked to finish van cover.
The job includes working within a small team in the morning loading the vans, going out each day delivering to multiple customers within a 50 mile radius of our location then returning back to the unit to clean and maintain your van. We may also ask to help in the warehouse from time to time in the picking of goods for the next day or packing any deliveries away with the our warehouse team.
Full training of delivery rounds will be provided once started. We will allocate a full month (5 days per week) intially to train candidate in the delivery rounds.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can successfully work as part of a team aswell as independently.
- Friendly and able to build a strong face to face relationship with our customers.
- Someone that will take pride in the up keep/cleanliness of the van they use and the warehouse when working within it.
- Someone that would enjoy working within a small close-knit family run business.
Health & safety training will be included in the induction on start date.
