We are recruiting a Full-time Highway Asset Officer based in Tiverton, however there will be a requirement to work within other areas of Devon as part of a wider Asset delivery Team.
The role is part of a team responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of Devon’s highway assets.
The position involves the following tasks:
- Early Contract Involvement (ECI) and Design of planned work programmes for highway maintenance projects
- work alongside local neighbourhood teams to best understand local community needs.
- auditing highway maintenance and other contracts to ensure compliance with DCC contract conditions and specifications
- review, manage and approve payments for highway maintenance schemes
- apply a working knowledge of appropriate highway policies and procedures, and maintain awareness of technical developments and good working practice
You are required to have an HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent and /or ability to demonstrate ability to demonstrate proficiency in designing work and auditing of a highway term maintenance contract and other forms of highway contract.
