Job description
Botanique of Cape Cod is looking for a shop assistant for the duration of wedding season, starting immediately and continuing through December, with the potential for 2024 employment.
The main duties of a shop assistant include all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into keeping the flower shop running, but primarily preparation/cleaning of the flowers and materials, and local deliveries. No industry experience is required. Must have a positive attitude and work well with others.
Job duties will include but are not limited to:
-Processing and caring for fresh flowers
-Cleaning of work space, washing buckets, sanitizing tools etc.
-Sorting through all the materials that have been returned to the shop after an event; checking quality then either composting or donating the leftover flowers, and cleaning candles/vases/rentals then re-packing for the next event
-Working on your feet for the entire shift when in the shop
-Bending, lifting, carrying, kneeling
-Ability to drive safely in our company vehicles for deliveries
-Following direction, paying attention to details
-Being a team player

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
