Barcham Trees Plc is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Delivery Co-ordinator. This position is responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the delivery process.
Planning effective delivery's which are considerate to cost and timescales. Liaising with external haulers and customers around their delivery requirements and communication with other departments within the business.
General Duties:
- Coordinate and manage all delivery activities from sales ordering to delivery.
- Coordinate from start to finish, all tasks related to the dispatch process.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch-related information.
- Ensure that all dispatch-related documents are properly filed and maintained.
- Maintain and update dispatch related sales management system.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following OH&S procedures and other applicable requirements.
- Assist in the development of new processes by reviewing existing processes, systems, and procedures.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures including those relating to safety, quality, and cost control.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Assisting with the loading and un-loading of delivery's.
- Achieving relevant targets and business goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English; ability to follow oral and written instructions in English with attention to detail and accuracy is required for this position.
- The ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision is required for this position.
- The ability to perform administrative duties such as answer phones, email, and performing data entry into the company system are essential functions of this position.
- This position requires regular contact with customers on a daily basis while working under minimal supervision.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months
