Job description

An opportunity has become available to join a local family run Motor Factors in Stratford. We have a vacancy for a van driver on a permanant full time contract. The role will be to deliver orders to customer but all also require work within the branches warehouse sorting stock and help where required. Full training will be provided.

Description of role

Day to day duties include;

  • To organise deliveries in a prompt and efficient manner and to maintain records as required.
  • Pick orders
  • To maintain good customer relations by being courteous and helpful at all times and to report any problems that may arise from goods or services supplied by the Company.
  • To ensure secure collection of payment for all cash on delivery invoices at time of delivery, unless otherwise directed by the Manager, and to ensure its accuracy.
  • To immediately notify Manager of any vehicle defects and give advance warning of vehicle maintenance schedule.
  • To assist in the Warehouse with putting stock away, picking and audit support

Skills and Experience:

  • Clean Full UK Driving licence
  • Great communication skills – demonstrate the ability to develop customer relationships and drive customer connectivity
  • High levels of focus, energy and drive
  • Always delivering best in class service to establish customer experience excellence

Personal attributes:

  • Good knowledge of automotive parts
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills while working within a busy depot.
  • Good understanding of cars
  • Ability to adapt
  • Willingness to learn if training is required
  • Proactive
  • Knowledge of the local area and customer base would be an advantage

Job Type

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, every other Saturday’s 8.30am to 1pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Stratford-Upon-Avon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Driving: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
