Job description

Terminal Location: Saskatoon

Working days: Monday to Friday

No Holidays

No Weekends

Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM (End time will vary)

What you will do:

  • Drive a Refrigerated 3 ton or 5-ton commercial truck (with air brake endorsement at times) to perform Multi-drop deliveries and or pick up of freights to assigned stops for our clients within Calgary
  • Deliver freights in good condition and within the scheduled time (approximately 10 to 40 deliveries)
  • Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a Dolley and or pallet truck
  • Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
  • Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
  • Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
  • Report on all safety hazards and accidents
  • Use a cellular phone to communicate with Dispatch, Lead Hand, and Manager ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts, etc….
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
  • Additional duties as required

What we require of you:

  • High School Diploma
  • A valid Class 5 License is a must
  • Valid Class 5 or 3 with Q endorsement is an asset
  • Clean Commercial and Personal Driver’s Abstract
  • Courier or LTL experience is an asset
  • Minimum 1-year Commercial Truck Delivery experience
  • This shift will be Monday to Friday. Shift starts at 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM (may be more during peak time, shift end time is subject to change depending on need)
  • Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a Dolley and or a pallet truck
  • Lift and carry freight up to 75 lbs
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
