Back End Store Associate
Warehouse Associate
Back End Store Description: Stocking, backroom, & receiving associates work to ensure customers can find all the items they have on their furniture shopping list. Depending on the shift you work, your job could include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, or helping customers while assembling/restocking furniture
Job Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming product while verifying accuracy of shipment and inspection for damages loss, or defects
- Assemble and process product for preparation of deliveries
- Provide assistance to customers with product pick-ups, including loading and unloading
- Maintain product, tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and ensure daily/weekly/monthly performance levels are achieved
- Other duties as assigned
- Prepare and load the delivery truck.
- Deliver, unload and assemble product in the Customer’s home; remove all packaging materials from the location.
- Conduct physical inspections of product to identify damaged goods; perform simple touch-up and repair as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and assigned warehouse work area; place product in designated areas when appropriate.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection; communicate issues to the appropriate party. Fuel vehicle at approved locations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for all positions:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, lower, push or pull furniture up to and in excess of 100lb (with assistance if needed)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Possess a clean, neat, and professional appearance
- Serve customers with a high level of courtesy
- Apply troubleshooting abilities to solve potential customer service issues
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D (Required)
License/Certification:
- Forklift Certified (Preferred)
- Drivers License (Required)
- Boxtruck Driving Experience (Required)
