Our Pink Orange Team is central to supporting individuals and families from the local community who have financial stress surrounding the rising costs of living.
About the role:
The role of Driver is designed to ensure that food boxes are safely and responsibility delivered to their intended recipient. The Driver is also the face of the organisation and a key relationship builder with our clients and therefore drivers are expected to act in a responsible way and represent the organisation is a positive manner.
The minimum age for the role is 25, with at least 2 years driving experience. Drivers must have a good level of fitness, as the role involves lifting boxes and walking.
We are looking for a relief driver to complement our existing team.
Key Tasks:
- To undertake day to day delivery work predominantly across Norfolk and Suffolk, delivering food boxes to vulnerable individuals at various locations, but predominantly residential addresses. warehouse work as directed. This will include tasks which may include (but not limited to)
- To drive responsibly and carefully and within legal guidelines at all times.
- To support the loading/unloading as appropriate
- To undertake vehicle checks, to clean the vehicle inside after use and to ensure the vehicle provided is within safe driving requirements.
- To act as an ambassador for the organisation and recognising the vulnerable nature of our clients.
- Provide exemplary customer service
- To ensure all deliveries are attempted and boxes are left in a safe place where necessary to ensure no re-deliveries are required.
