Lalys Pharmacies are recruiting a part-time/full-time Deliveries Coordinator to manage and coordinate our growing fleet of small vans and drivers.
We operate across a wide geographical range from Dorset to Surrey with the majority of our branches in the Portsmouth area. This role would be based from our Fawcett Road Automation Hub.
Or drivers deliver both from hub to branch and from branch to patients. We also use drivers with their own vehicles and, as we grow, shall be growing our driving team.
This is a part-time role to begin with 0700-1300 Mon-Fri. The Delivery Coordinator may occasionally be required to assist the driving team with deliveries which would allow for this to become a full-time role.
The salary for the role is £11 - £13 per hour.
Responsibilities for Fleet Manager
- Work closely with the Automation Hub and Pharmacy teams to determine and meet their needs and ensure we offer a prompt, efficient service to our patients.
- Recruit new drivers
- Ensure routes are planned with adequate capacity
- Manage weekly driver rota, leave and cover
- Manage deliveries and drivers through the ProDelivery app
- Schedule maintenance and repairs on vehicles
- Decide and purchase company vehicles
- Train new drivers on routes, delivering to housebound and elderly, and the ProDelivery app
- Train branches on usage and updates of the ProDelivery app
- Ensure drivers adhere to ProDelivery for the most efficient routes
- Create reports of driver's effectiveness
- Manage driver IT and Fuel Cards
- Analyse ProDelivery and Quartix vehicle tracking data
- Manage driving style through Quartix vehicle tracking data
- Ensure weekly maintenance sheets and paperwork are up to date
- Follow all vehicle regulations and laws
- Develop a strategy for decreasing vehicle mileage and cost
Qualifications for Delivery Coordinator
- Qualification/experience in delivery driving and supervision, supply chain or fleet management
- IT literacy and experience with delivery apps/software
- Ability to schedule a group of drivers
- Organisational skills
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to hire and train new employees and embed systems
- Ability to give constructive criticism
- Knowledge of vehicles and vehicle management
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Delivery management: 2 years (preferred)
