The role
As a Delivery Co-ordinator Afloat (Combat Systems), you will lead, manage and deliver significant engineering packages on submarines within the combat systems in HMNB Clyde
Day to day, you’ll lead and manage a multi-trade team for the delivery of Fleet engineering work packages. Ensuring delivery of objectives in terms of safety, cost, time and quality requirements. Using technical capability to plan and schedule packages of work.
- To lead and direct a team of industrials, non-industrials and Royal Navy to achieve their part of the project and all operations business performance metrics (Safety, cost, schedule, quality)
- Work with the Fleet Programme Team to define and detail the work required to deliver each activity, defining each manageable task and schedule activities to remove conflicts.
- Ensure all documentation is reviewed and ready at commencement and throughout each work package.
- Implementation and promotion of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies during projects ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships eg: HS&E, QA, Sub-contractors, resourcing, ship staff.
This role is based on site at Faslane, Helensburgh
- Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering systems and equipment
- Maintenance, diagnosis, repair and replacement of combat systems equipment on submarine and surface ships,
- Safe Systems of Work
- Quality Assurance
- Planning processes
- HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level. This role is ITAR implicated.
