Job description
Part Time Healthcare Counter Assistant
We are looking for a part time counter assistant to work 3 half day shifts during the week and every Saturday morning at our pharmacy at 145 Reculver Road, Beltinge.
Ideally anyone that wishes to apply for this position will have needed to have worked in a retail pharmacy before and will know about over the counter medications, how to take in and give out prescriptions and has a general understanding of the other chemist related products that we sell.
The person appointed will need to be able to make recommendations for over the counter medications and will need to know the correct questions to ask customers when they need a medication. This member of staff will be employed to assist the full time counter assistant ordering stock for the shop, unpacking and putting away deliveries as well as other associated duties which will include general housekeeping / cleaning and date checking.
There will be plenty of opportunities for overtime with this role as it we will require the successful candidate to work full time hours when the regular full time counter assistant is on leave from the branch.
The hours for this position at 145 Reculver Road will be either 3 weekday mornings 9am to 1pm (or 3 weekday afternoons 2pm -5.30pm) and every Saturday morning 9am to 1pm.
