Employees in Operations at Dow use science to build an exciting career. Currently we are looking to hire Degree Apprentices in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering to join our team in Barry, UK.

The role is based at Dow Silicones Barry site in South Wales and is one of the largest and most complex silicones sites in the world. Barry is situated less than 10 miles from Cardiff city center, which is home to Europe's largest waterfront development and combines the practical advantages of a small, friendly city with the cultural and recreational amenities of a successful modern capital.
What is a Dow Degree Apprenticeship?
Our degree apprenticeship provides the opportunity to combine working at our world class chemical manufacturing plant whilst completing part-time study at the University of Wales Trinity St David for your Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
You will work alongside our experienced Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians and Subject Matter Experts to gain practical and technical skills in the industrial environment whilst gaining your degree qualification. Dow will pay you a salary and your tuition fees will be funded.

  • Subject minimum requirements - Mathematics and Physics
  • Initiative, curiosity and good communication skills.
  • Aged 18+
  • For CV’s to be considered, must have the qualification with grades/results, Year of Birth and current location
  • You are allowed to work in the United Kingdom
  • You can speak and write in English fluently
