Introduction
We are looking for Project Managers to work on vital projects and programmes across the defence space that will be directly supporting my clients’ customers with their Infrastructure, technology, and digital requirements. Enthusiastic consultants who really want to build long lasting relationships with their clients, and deliver projects to time, cost and quality standards are the key to my client success.
My client is a prestigious Project Management and Procurement Consultancy who thrive on providing complex solutions to their customers across the UK. Due to the nature of the role, an active SC or DV Clearance will be required to be considered for this opportunity.
You will have a local base location and be in the office / on customer sites 2 – 3 days per week, the rest of the work can be done remotely. Offices include: Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Bristol, Plymouth, Cardiff, Sheffield, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Derby, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Darlington
Key responsibilities
- Provide trusted advice to our clients around how to deliver solutions
- Deliver across all aspects of the project lifecycle
- Support the recovery of poorly performing implementations
- Build client relationships and reinforce credibility as a subject matter expert
- Demonstrate knowledge of industry standard methodologies
- Support or lead business generation activity (bid qualifications and proposals)
Skills & experience
- Experience leading or supporting projects within the Defence industry (ideally within a client facing role)
- 5 + years within a project role
- Stakeholder relationship management
- Support and adopt agile practices within the project
- An APM, Prince2, AgilePM or Scrum qualification would be ideal
