Overview:
The assistant dean will serve on one of the office's strategic teams working in collaboration with other officers and reporting to an associate dean.Responsibilities:

Responsible for articulating the mission of Princeton University and conveying its policies and procedures to applicants, parents, school and CBO counselors, alumni and University personnel; providing group presentations at high schools and college nights, as well as conducting on-campus information sessions. Reading, evaluating and summarizing applications for admission; handling correspondence and phone inquiries.
The assistant dean will serve on one of the office's strategic teams working in collaboration with other officers and reporting to an associate dean.
- Make public presentations about Princeton University's undergraduate academic and extracurricular programs and resources and admission and financial aid policies and procedures to a variety of audiences both on and off campus. This will include approximately 4-5 weeks of travel, primarily in the fall.
- Read, evaluate and summarize applications for admission and participate in selection committee while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism.
- As part of one of the strategic teams, contribute to the overall functioning of the office and to the recruitment, selection and yield of the best students for the university.
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least three years of admission experience
- Excellent writing and public speaking skills
- Ability to relate positively to a variety of interests, backgrounds and points of view by using tact, diplomacy and discretion
- Ability to exercise good judgement while working collegially in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with and a willingness to learn technology and data drive systems
- Willingness to learn and to accept constructive feedback
- Experience with website development
- Resourcefulness, initiative and motivation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
