Location: Edinburgh/Durham/London Type: Full Time - Closing Date: 23rd of July 2023 Salary band: Competitive salary and benefits The Opportunity As DCO Delivery Manager you will play a key role in the CTO delivery team for the Development Consent Order (DCO) Projects within the Solar, Storage and Private Wire (SSPW) Business Unit. The role reports into the Head of Delivery and line manages both project management resource and Engineering Managers for the technology. As DCO Delivery Manager you will also interface with wider CTO particularly Central Engineering for support services. The role creates multi-discipline teams to lead the delivery of DCO projects during construction and providing a high quality handover of projects into operations. In addition the role will require taking on leadership roles within projects such as Project Director. The role also ensures delivery of key inputs into pre-construction projects including FID assumptions and optimisations. What you'll be doing Leading and accountable for project and engineering management delivery within the DCO portfolio from development to handover to asset operations Play a key role in the Head of Delivery team and support strategic elements of continuous improvement and innovation Assume key leadership roles in projects such as Project Director Ensure a consistent approach to DCO project delivery such that safety, quality, programme, risk and value are measured and balanced to deliver optimised project outcomes for the business unit across the full asset lifecycle Responsible for the engineering performance on DCO projects including any necessary interface with internal or external resource Who you are A minimum of 5 years of experience in the renewables industry Proven track record of leading multi-discipline teams Experience of DCO projects is desirable Experience of leadership roles within large projects Minimum of a degree in a relevant construction / engineering discipline Strong experience of managing risks and challenges in a renewables environment Highly proficient in key areas of project delivery in the renewables environment in particular around large project delivery strategies Knowledge of project management principals and processes Full clean UK driving licence.
