
Dayshift HGV Driver (Class 1/C&E) - Tramper Cupar, Scotland
Job description
Tramping is relatively new to our Haulage Team, and we're delighted to be opening up applications for a 2nd driver to join the Trampers as our Transportation Department goes from strength to strength. Our HGVs take fresh produce from our chilled distribution hubs in Fife across the country to the RDC's of our supermarket customers, or complete trailer changeovers at designated stops.

~ Nurture a good working relationship with your Distribution Coordinator
~ Ability to undertake manual handling duties and suitable levels of fitness for this role
~ Holder of a valid Category C+E (Class 1) Drivers Licence (ideally clean)
~ Holder of a valid digital tacho card and CPC card
~ No previous disqualifications
~ A detailed understanding of the rules and regulation around drivers' hours
~ Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work
~ Happy to go undergo a drivers assessment, background check and occupational health assessment
What Does the Role Involve?
- Complete daily vehicle checks, both pre and post-shift
- All deliveries reach the customer safely, efficiently and on time
- Keep an accurate and honest record of all vehicle checks
- Comply with all Driver hours and Road Transport Directive legislation
- Managing / reporting issues around loading, unloading or delays
- Maintaining safety and security of loads at all times
- Drive in a safe and responsible manner
- Carrying out necessary checks to ensure vehicle is safe and legal
- Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely and within the legislation
- Regular updates on progress
Proof of cards and licenses will be required at interview stage.

If you do not have these documents, we would not be able to offer you a start date. Birth Certificates and NI proof can easily be applied for, so we would ask you do this before sending in your application.
<> Non-UK Residents will be asked to supply their Home Office Share Code prior to being invited to interview.
<> We are a 364 days a year company, closed only on Christmas Day. During December and early January there are restrictions on holidays, and we work bank holidays including Boxing Day.
The Recruitment Process
We invite shortlisted candidates to an onsite interview with a member of our Transport Team. This is a chance to tell you about Kettle and the role, and for us to get to know you and see how your experience and skills could bring value to our Haulage Team. You will then get the chance to tour our factory to see for yourself what goes on in the big green shed!
The second stage is a drivers assessment.
