Job Description

Nannie Annies Day Care Ltd is seeking a full-time Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. We are looking for a passionate, nurturing and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of early childhood development.

Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Lead and motivate a team of dedicated early childhood educators, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the nursery meets all legal and safety standards.
Assist in conducting regular staff meetings, training sessions, and evaluations to enhance staff performance and maintain a positive work culture.
Participate in recruitment processes and contribute to building a skilled and dedicated team of educators.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
Possession of a relevant early childhood education qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent).
Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising and motivating a team.
In-depth knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early years education.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
A genuine passion for working with children and providing them with a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
Current First Aid and Safeguarding certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
