Job Description

Nannie Annies Day Care Ltd is seeking a full-time Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. We are looking for a passionate, nurturing and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of early childhood development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
  • Lead and motivate a team of dedicated early childhood educators, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the nursery meets all legal and safety standards.
  • Assist in conducting regular staff meetings, training sessions, and evaluations to enhance staff performance and maintain a positive work culture.
  • Participate in recruitment processes and contribute to building a skilled and dedicated team of educators.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
  • Possession of a relevant early childhood education qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising and motivating a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early years education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and providing them with a nurturing and stimulating environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Current First Aid and Safeguarding certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
