Day Club Worker Wanted

Are you looking for a role that is varied and challenging, where you have the potential to make a real difference and improve the lives of older people in York? Do you like to socialise and run activities? Do you like an active role instead of an office role?

If so, we at Age UK York are recruiting a Day Club worker to work as part of our Day Club Team to cover maternity leave.

Age UK York’s Day Clubs offer older people a stimulating social environment where they can participate in a range of activities, make new friends and get a hot meal.

These are exciting roles for people with a commitment to supporting older people to maintain and improve their wellbeing and quality of life.

You will have a flexible approach, a willingness to try new things and use your creativity at work. Experience of previous work with older people would be particularly welcome.

Our Day Clubs team are a friendly team. The days available are:

There may be opportunities for additional hours on an occasional basis.

Please note that these are fixed term roles to 31stMarch 2024 with the possibility of further extension subject to funding being secured.
